We’re happy you’ve found your way to our page…please allow us to share with you the real backstory of how we came to be.
It’s the fourth of July, 2023. We arrived at the brewery and sat at the bar. Awaiting the arrival of the rest of our party, we begin with some holiday beers. Amongst the noise of other patrons and personal conversation, our attention was drawn to the television above the bar. Of all things, bull riding…a sport neither of us had much knowledge of. But not long after a few cowboys were thrown off the backs of several angry bulls, we were hooked. Cheering on the riders, and at times, even the bull, we found ourselves laughing at our true enjoyment of the sport. In time, our night went on as planned with fireworks and friends, and the memory of that day stuck with us.
Fast forward one year later, and we find ourselves in the same setting. And you better believe it…we asked for bull riding! At this point, we were all in on the fun of it all, shouting, “I know a Qualified Ride when I see one!” and “That’s a QR baby!” At one point, through all the laughs, my friend grabs me and says, “You’re my Qualified Ride or Die!” Returned back to him, “You’re my QRD!” And in that moment, a new joke between two friends was born.
After a few weeks, this joke of ours became more than that…it became an idea. “Qualified Ride or Die” was not just something to say anymore that would draw some laughs over some beers and bull riding. It was bigger than the sport. It was about the connections we make in life, the people who stick with you through thick and thin, and the memories that bring it all together. A joke no more, QRD became a way of life. And now, we want to share that idea with you!
QRD is about celebrating the journey, the friendships, and the unexpected adventures that make life so incredible. It’s about capturing the moment and making the most of it. Whether you’re into bull riding, chasing dust, or simply hanging with your crew, QRD is here to be part of your story.
